Pay Range: $22.90/hr. - $28.62/hr.

Job Overview

The Plant Operations Division of the Water Department is seeking motivated individuals for a variety of tasks involving repairs of instrumentation and electrical equipment.

Minimum Qualifications

• HS diploma/GED
• One (1) year of experience in instrumentation or electrical fields
• Valid Texas Driver's License
• Pass Drug Screen and Physical

Preferred Qualifications

• Maintenance Electrician's License within 3 years
• 24-hour on-call duty on a rotating basis
• Associate's Degree or Texas Journeyman/Master Electrical License
• Skills in instrumentation and electrical maintenance

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components and instrumentation
• Inspect and maintain medium voltage electrical equipment
• Read blueprints and technical drawings
• Maintain activity logs and documentation
• Provide technical support within the Water Department

Working Conditions & Physical Demands

Positions may involve physical activities such as touching, talking, hearing, standing, climbing, lifting, etc., and exposure to mechanical parts, chemicals, extreme temperatures, and noise. Heavy lifting up to 100 pounds may be required.
