Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required.
• Certification by the Florida State Department of Education to teach in Florida, or eligibility for certification, required.

Responsibilities

• Plan and implement hands‑on programs and activities with administrators and instructional teams.
• Participate actively with faculty and staff to support school goals and programs.
• Collaborate with faculty to plan, implement and evaluate school improvement initiatives.
• Manage classroom and supervise equipment used.
• Engage in professional growth to acquire new skills and knowledge.
• Diagnose and analyze student progress to tailor instruction to developmental stages.
• Use multiple instructional techniques to meet diverse student needs.
• Incorporate technology and current research into instruction.
• Regularly evaluate student progress.
• Apply effective classroom management to create a positive learning environment.
• Maintain positive relationships with students, parents and community.
• Communicate with parents through conferences, calls or notes.
• Encourage parental involvement through school activities.
• Maintain records including grade books and attendance.
• Ensure protection of student and school property.
• Stay up-to-date on technology used by OCPS and attend required trainings.
• Perform other duties as assigned by the Principal.
