Job summary

SpecialtyCare is seeking an Instrument Technician for Minimally Invasive Surgical Support. Training is provided in-house to help you gain skills and start a career in health care.

You will support the OR by cleaning, decontaminating, and preparing instrument sets, with no direct patient contact. The role requires flexibility for hours and weekend/holiday coverage, plus on-call duties and reliable transport.

Qualifications

• Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Must live within 30 minutes of our contracted hospitals, able to work flexible hours and participate in a call rotation including weekends/holidays.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to be on-call.
• Must be able to successfully complete on the job training including certification and company sponsored education modules.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate soiled instrumentation, cameras, scopes and other materials as needed.
• Prep and pack decontaminated items for sterilization.
• Managing the maintenance, care, cleaning and repair of instrument/scope sets in a hands-on environment.

As an Instrument Technician you will be trained to positively impact theefficiency of the OR by:
