Qualifications

• Education options: high school diploma/equivalent; associate degree in instrumentation/electronics or related field.
• 2 years of related experience preferred (PLC, Analyzer & DCS).
• Strong problem-solving, troubleshooting, safety awareness, and reliability required.

Responsibilities

• Troubleshoot and repair conventional instrumentation including DCS and analyzers.
• Complete daily paperwork as required.
• Participate in on-call duty.
• Complete daily route checks of assigned areas.

Job description

I. POSITION OBJECTIVE

The purpose of the Instrument Technician is to ensure the efficient operation of process instrumentation.

II. MAJOR AREAS OF ACCOUNTABILITY

• Troubleshoot and repair all conventional instrumentation including DCS and Analyzers.
• Complete daily paperwork as required.
• Partipate in On call duty
• Complete daily route check of assigned area.
• Calibration of all conventional instrumentation, Analyzers & DCS.
• Adhere to all company policies and procedures including but not limited to, ISO, personnel, quality, environmental, health, safety, regulatory and company requirements.
• Work outside normal shift hours and work on call as needed.
• Maintain regular and reliable attendance.
• Comply with NTG (Nothing Touching the Ground) requirements. Including daily audits.
• Be active in Operation Clean Sweep and ensure employees are aware of and accountable for prevention of pellet loss, containment, cleanup and disposal.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

III. QUALIFICATIONS

• Education
  • High School diploma or equivalent
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • Associate degree in Instrumentation or Electronics or Two (2) years’ experience (PLC, Analyzer & DCS experience preferred)
• Previous Related Experience Required
  • 2 years of experience (PLC, Analyzer & DCS experience preferred) and a high school diploma or equivalent; Or associate degree in Instrumentation or Electronics or related fields.
• Technical Skills Required to Perform This Job
