Job summary

Sutter Eden Medical Center in Castro Valley, CA is seeking a Per Diem/Casual Sterile Processing Technician. The role involves decontamination, cleaning, assembling, packaging, scanning, sterilization, storage and distribution of reusable surgical instrumentation and equipment.

Required are a HS diploma or equivalent, and CRCST or CSPDT certification. Experience in instrument care/assembly (3-5 years) is preferred; new grads will be considered.

EDUCATION

• HS Diploma or equivalent education/experience

CERTIFICATION & LICENSURE

• CRCST: Certified Registered Central Service Technician

Preferred Experience As Typically Acquired In

• 3-5 years
• 3+ Years of Previous Instrument Care/Assembly experience.
• New grads will be considered

Skills And Knowledge

• General knowledge of surgical tools, procedures, views, and equipment.
• Ability to interpret a variety of data and instructions, furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
• Basic understanding of human anatomy, physiology, pathology, and medical terminology.
• Well-developed time management and organizational skills, including the ability to prioritize assignments and work within standardized operating procedures and scientific methods to achieve objectives and meet deadline.
• General knowledge of computer applications, such as Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel and Outlook).

Pay Range is $40.92 to $46.05 / hour
