Job summary

Music & Arts, part of the Guitar Center enterprise, seeks an instrument repair technician to service rental returns and ensure instruments are playable and accurately recorded. Candidates should have a high school diploma or GED and training from an accredited repair program, plus the ability to work with standard repair tooling.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Apprenticeship or a diploma for an accredited repair school is required.
• Must be able to read, write, speak, and comprehend English.
• Must be able to use standard repair shop tooling and equipment.
• 2 years of relevant work experience repairing musical instruments daily.
• Skilled understanding and function of brass, woodwind, percussion and orchestral instruments, and the ability to repair them timely.

Responsibilities

• Works on rental returned instruments in an efficient & timely manner.
• Ensuring each instrument is repaired according to established quality guidelines
• Maintain accurate records for production reporting
• Additional duties as assigned.
