Job summary

TALENT Software Services seeks a Surgical Instrument Technician to support the operating room team and sterile processing in the hospital setting. You will work under team leaders to ensure patient safety and instrument readiness.

Responsibilities include decontamination, sterilization, packaging, and distribution of reusable instruments; maintain inventory; and assist with sterile core activities. Effective communication and teamwork are essential for success in this role.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year instrumentation experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.

• Good verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Decontaminate, assemble, inspect, package, sterilize, store and distribute reusable instruments and equipment.
• Clean, package and re-process reusable surgical equipment and scopes per manufacturer guidelines.
• Maintain inventory and storage of processed supplies.
• Assist the surgical team in the sterile core environment.

Job Summary

Responsible for performing delegated activities to support the operating room team in the care of the surgical patient, as well as procedural areas within the hospital. Duties are performed under the supervision of the Central Service Team Leaders and Central Service Supervisor and in collaboration with the operating room team.

Job Responsibilities

• Decontamination, assembly, inspection, packaging, sterilization, storage, and distribution of reusable instruments and equipment for surgical and other procedures.
• Cleaning, packaging, and re-processing of reusable surgical equipment, instrumentation, and scopes per manufacturer's guidelines.
• Maintaining inventory and storage of processed supplies.
• Supporting the surgical team by assisting with activities in the sterile core.

Required Skills & Experience

• A minimum of one (1) year of instrumentation experience.
• Basic computer knowledge.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and the ability to receive and give constructive feedback.
• Good verbal and written communication skills, being concise by phone and in person.

Preferred Skills & Experience

• One (1) year of instrumentation experience in a hospital setting.

Schedule Notes

• 13-week assignment, 40 hours per week
• 1 position: Sun-Thurs 22:45-07:15
• 7 positions: Mon-Fri 14:45-23:15
