Desired Qualifications And Skills

• Ability to operate electronic distance measuring equipment and other land surveying instruments, boats, airboats, GPS, all-terrain vehicles, and other equipment necessary to obtain survey data.
• Attention to detail, accuracy, and excellent interpersonal communication skills.

Physical/Environment Requirements

While performing the duties of this job, the associate is frequently required to stand; walk long distances while carrying equipment, sometimes through rugged terrain, mud, or swamp; drive and/or ride in a boat; sit; balance, stoop, kneel, sit; balance, stoop, kneel, and lift up to 50 pounds; use hands to operate, handle, maneuver and/or manipulate objects, tools or controls; reach with hands and arms; use manual dexterity to operate equipment; talk and hear; Specific vision abilities required by the job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the associate is generally outdoors and is exposed to the weather. Associate does ride in a boat and is frequently exposed to the noise, dust, smells, and other environmental factors present in such situations. Nights away from home are required.
