TIC - The Industrial Company is seeking an entry-level helper to assist skilled trades in piping, instrumentation, and equipment installation at our site in the Mississippi region. You will learn to select materials, assemble piping, and support calibration and test procedures under direct supervision.

Responsibilities include handling tools, moving materials, and assisting with maintenance tasks while adhering to safety and quality standards.

Qualifikationen

• Must have a high school diploma or equivalent and related field experience.
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision.
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline.
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

• Learn to select type and size of pipe, tube and related material according to job specification.
• Assist with installation, repair, maintainance, and adjust instruments and test equipment used to control variables.
• Assist skilled craftsman to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing.
• Move materials and equipment to work locations and set up work sites.
• May assist with disassembling malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine defects.
• Assist with replacement or repair of defective parts using hand tools.
• Reassemble instrument or test equipment and test assembly for conformance to specs.
• Inspect instruments and test equipment periodically and adjust calibration to standards.
• May calibrate instruments or test equipment according to established standards.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

• Learn to select type and size of pipe, tube and related material according to job specification
• Assist with installation, repair, maintainance, and adjust indicating, recording, tele-metering, and controlling instruments and test equipment, used to control and measure variables, such as pressure, flow, temperature, motion, force, and chemical composition
• Assist skilled craftsman to measure, cut, bend, thread, assemble and install primary piping and tubing
• Moves materials and equipment to work locations and sets up work sites
• May assist with disassembling malfunctioning instruments or test equipment and examine and test mechanisms and circuitry for defects
• Assist with replacement or repair of defective parts, using hand tools
• Reassembles instrument or test equipment, and tests assembly for conformance to specifications, using instruments
• Inspects instruments and test equipment periodically and adjusts calibration to ensure functioning within specified standards
• May calibrate instruments or test equipment according to established standards.

Qualifications

• May require a high school diploma or its equivalent with previous years of experience in the field or in a related area.
• Must possess knowledge skills and abilities for position
• Ability to understand, follow and transmit written and oral instructions and communicate effectively with management/supervision
• Field experience in chosen craft discipline
• Knowledge of the safe and efficient use of hand tools, power tools and layout tools.

Requirements

• Able to meet all physical requirements.
• Must have all required tools
• Expected to climb and work at heights and in confined spaces (may exceed 200 ft)
• Able to work outdoors in all weather conditions
• Able to work overtime, nights, and weekends as required by the workload
• Observe and comply with all safety and project rules. Performs other duties as required.
