Job summary

Taurus Engineering & Testing seeks an Instrument Engineer to be based at our Port Lavaca, Texas office. The role is onsite at the client site in Point Comfort, Texas, with responsibilities spanning instrument design, documentation, and coordination with operations.

Qualified candidates will have a BS in Electrical Control Systems Engineering and at least 3 years in petrochemical instrument engineering, with strong capabilities in P&ID review, DCS/SIS design, and vendor engagement.

Qualifications

• BS Electrical Control Systems Engineering required.
• 3 years instrument engineering experience in petro-chemical industry.
• Team player able to collaborate with multiple disciplines.
• Adherence to quality, safety, schedule, and budget.

Responsibilities

• Plan, design, budget controls and complete assigned project to meet schedule.
• Prepare instrument engineering documents (instrument index, specification, detail design).
• Review P&ID, scope of work with operations and related parties.
