Air Products is seeking an Instrument and Electrical Technician for our Texas City, TX facility. You will perform preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, analytical equipment, and electrical systems up to 13.8KV.
You will work with a team to ensure safe, reliable plant operations and participate in commissioning of new plants. The role requires reading technical drawings, PLC/DCS knowledge, and experience with SAP/CMMS.

The facility assets include Air Products’ largest Steam Methane Reformer, a Nitrogen Air Separation Unit, the world’s largest single train Ammonia Plant, Ammonia Pipelines, 60 MW of Steam Turbine Power Generation and large Utility System. This facility is a greenfield build expanding Air Products presence in the Gulf Coast at Texas City and will connect with Air Products Gulf Coast Hydrogen Pipeline system. The Instrument & Electrical Technician is responsible for performing preventive and corrective maintenance on instrumentation, analytical and electrical equipment up to 13.8KV, at our Texas City facility.
This role is a safety sensitive position.
Working hours - 4/10 schedule; Monday -Thursday (6AM - 4:30PM) This position will be working indoors and outdoors. This is a plant-based position at our Texas City facility.
A high school diploma or GED is required. Five years of industrial experience working on instrumentation and electrical equipment is required. A trade, technical degree or apprenticeship in a related field is preferred but is not required. Military training will be considered in lieu of industrial experience / trade school education. Safety focused. Proficient communication and digital literacy. A valid driver’s license and a good driving record are required. Able to work in a team environment. Flexibility to be available for on call is required. Flexibility to work overtime is required.
