Placements24 is seeking an Instrument and Control Engineer for an industrial operations role near Paarl. You will design instrumentation, control valves, and automation systems for process plants, and implement control logic for DCS/PLCs.

Qualifications

Degree in Electrical Engineering, Control Systems Engineering, or related field.
Minimum 3 years of instrumentation and control experience in process industries.
Experience with PLC/DCS programming and configuration.
Strong knowledge of instrumentation, control theory, and SIS.
Experience with field instrumentation selection and calibration.

Responsibilities

Design and specify instrumentation, control valves, and automation systems for process plants.
Develop and implement control logic for DCS and PLCs.
Perform loop checks, commissioning, and troubleshooting of I&C systems.
Ensure safety standards and regulatory compliance for control systems.
Collaborate with project teams during design, construction and commissioning.
Provide technical support and training to maintenance personnel and operators.
