Xcel Energy is seeking an Instrument & Control Technician to install, calibrate, test, troubleshoot, and repair instrumentation and process control systems at our Aurora, CO facility. Responsibilities include regulatory testing, record-keeping, upgrade projects, and apprenticeship training.

The role requires NICET II certification or equivalent, a vocational electronics/instrumentation certificate, and several years of instrumentation experience, with overtime and travel as needed.

Qualificações

• Two-year certificate from vocational/technical institute in electronics or instrumentation.
• NICET Level II or company approved equivalent certification.
• Two or more years troubleshooting and repairs to the component level of electronic/industrial instrumentation desired.
• Four or more years previous power plant instrumentation or equivalent experience required.
• Must have completed the approved apprenticeship training or company approved equivalent.

Responsabilidades

• Perform testing required by Plant Operation, regulatory requirements; review, prepare and submit records in support of these activities.

• Train apprentices.

Xcel Energy has an Instrument & Control Tech TA position open for our Aurora, CO location.

Position Summary

• Perform installation, maintenance, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, configuration and repair of power plant instrumentation and process control systems, including CEMS.

Minimum Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.


• Two-year certificate from vocational technical institute in electronics or instrumentation, or company approved equivalent training and/or experience.


• Must have NICET Level II or company approved equivalent certification.


• Two or more years troubleshooting and repairs to the component level of electronic/industrial instrumentation desired.


• Four or more years previous power plant instrumentation or equivalent experience required.


• Must have completed the approved apprenticeship training or company approved equivalent.

Special Requirements:

• Scheduled and emergency overtime is required.


• Must possess the skills needed to respond to back shift callout for unsupervised work.


• Traveling to other sites may be required.


• Skills assessment may be required during the interview process.

Bargaining

The anticipated starting base pay for this position is: $64.69 per hour
