Full-time vacancy beginning in August 2025. This is an academic year position, typically running from mid-August through mid-May. Develops and teaches concepts and strategies for welding courses, including layout, blueprint reading, fabrication, various welding techniques, inspection, testing, and math. Teaching may occur at MATC campuses, business, community sites, evenings, or weekends.
Minimum Educational Requirements: Must have at least one of the following:
Minimum Occupational Experience: 4 years (8,000 hours) in welding, including oxy-fuel, SMAW, GMAW, FCAW, plasma cutting, blueprint reading, inspection, and testing. Experience with welding codes and quality control is also required.
In addition, at least one of the following must be met:
Certifications: Within two years, must obtain AWS Certified Welding Educator (CWE) or Certified Welding Inspector (CWI). Preferred certifications include state weld certifications and journey-level status in relevant trades.
Start date: Fall semester. Hours vary based on course load. Location may vary across MATC campuses. Salary is competitive, based on experience and internal equity.
