Job summary

The YMCA of Metropolitan Los Angeles is seeking a Water Exercise Instructor to lead water fitness classes and ensure a safe, welcoming aquatic environment for all members.

You will deliver engaging instruction, enforce pool rules, keep certifications current, respond to emergencies, and maintain records as part of a professional aquatics team. CPR/BLS and water fitness certification are required; prior experience with diverse participants is preferred.

POSITION SUMMARYUnder the supervision of the Aquatics Director and Aquatics Coordinator/Lead, the Water Exercise Instructor is responsible for professional instruction of all water exercise classes. As a member of the Aquatics team, the Water Exercise Instructor is also responsible for the safety of members in the pool and pool area by enforcing policies and procedures courteously and professionally. It is essential to keep certifications current and follow emergency procedures when necessary.
