Qualifications

• MD or PhD or equivalent degree required.
• Experience in translational neuroscience research is preferred.
• Expertise in neurophysiology, systems neuroscience, translational neuroimaging, or related fields.

Responsibilities

• Conduct translational neuroscience research focused on mechanisms of electroconvulsive therapy (ECT) and neuromodulation using mouse models and human neuroimaging approaches.
• Design and perform experiments involving in vivo optical imaging, electrophysiology, behavioral phenotyping, and computational analysis.
• Contribute to development and implementation of clinical translational research protocols related to ECT and other neuromodulation interventions.
• Analyze and interpret experimental data; prepare manuscripts and presentations for scientific meetings and peer‑reviewed publication.
• Mentor/train students and research staff; participate in collaborative interdisciplinary research within Penn Psychiatry and affiliated neuroscience programs.
