Job summary

The University of Texas MD Anderson Cancer Center seeks a seasoned researcher with a strong background in cancer biology and clinical protocols. You will handle processing of human and mouse samples and contribute to cutting-edge investigations in immunology, flow cytometry, and tissue culture.

You will participate in grant writing under mentorship, pursue collaborative projects, and help train a broad range of researchers within a large cancer research group.

Job description

  • Strong and the comprehensive background in cancer research.
  • Commitment to write and submit competitive grant applications as principal investigator or co-investigator under the oversight of a research mentor.
  • Aspiration and resourcefulness to achieve greater scientific independence through the development of collaborative research projects.
  • Participate in the training of research scientists, postdoctoral fellows, clinical fellows, graduate, medical and the college students, as well as laboratory technicians.
  • A collaborative and friendly member/leader of a large cancer research group including research scientists, clinicians, statisticians, trainees, and supportive staff
