Additional Job Description: Louisiana State University of Alexandria is seeking an adjunct in Africana Studies to teach in an online format the following 3 credit course as part of our Bachelor of General Studies in Africana Studies program: AFST 3030 – Black Musical Traditions. This course acts as a survey of Black African musical traditions, examining West & Central African musical ideas and tracing the spread and manifestation of these ideas in the variety of music of the Atlantic World.
