The Department of Ophthalmology at the University of Colorado School of Medicine is seeking applicants for full-time (1.0 FTE) faculty to work as optometrists in our growing academic ophthalmology practice at the Sue Anschutz Rodgers Eye Center (SAREC) Boulder Clinic.

The positions will provide outpatient medical and perioperative management of ophthalmic disorders, routine eye screening, visual acuity testing, and refraction at SAREC and affiliate sites of practice within the Denver

• Doctor of Optometry or equivalent degree.
• Completed an approved residency in optometry.
• Colorado medical license or eligible.

Responsibilities

• Direct patient care at SAREC Boulder Clinic and UCD affiliates.
• Manage medical and perioperative ophthalmic disorders, screen patients, test visual acuity, and perform refractions.
• Provide pre- and postoperative care for cataract and refractive surgery patients.

Job Summary

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

Applicants must meet minimum qualifications at the time of hire.

• Qualified candidates must have a Doctor of Optometry or equivalent degree, will have completed an approved residency program in optometry and must have a Colorado medical license or be eligible.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous work experience in an academic or hospital based healthcare environment is preferred.

Anticipated Pay Range

The starting salary range (or hiring range) for this position has been established as HIRING RANGE: $108,000 to $150,000

The above salary range (or hiring range) represents the University's good faith and reasonable estimate of the range of possible compensation at the time of posting. This position is not eligible for overtime compensation unless it is non-exempt.
