The Radiology and Imaging department isactively seeking innovative, collaborative colleagues who regularly examine their pedagogy and practices to foster more belonging, accessible, and full student learning. The individual should be an Accredited Council Graduate Medical Education training fellow.This position will trainunder Radiology and Imaging faculty in the area of Breast Imaging while working clinically as a faculty member in the Radiology and Imaging Department of Augusta University Medical Center. This Fellowship is for one academic year only.

Faculty instructor in the department of Radiation Diagnostic program provide students with the skills necessary to administer radiation treatments safely and accurately to patients in the clinical setting. This position includes assignment of program chair hours for the Radiation Therapy program. The Program Chair is responsible for the overall management of the program. Duties will include classroom instruction, assessment, curriculum development, advising students, professional inquiry, committee work and engaging with instructional technology. This would include teaching assignments in various delivery modes.

Completed Diagnostic Radiology Residency

  • Evidence of ability as a teacher;
  • Evidence of activity as a scholar and ability in all other duties assigned;
  • Successful experience (which will necessarily be waived for those just entering the academic profession who meet all other requirements); and,
  • Desirable personal qualities judged on the basis of personal interview, complete biographical data, and recommendations.
Shift/Salary/Benefits

This position is fiscal year based and works year-round.

The intended work commitment or full-time equivalent (FTE) for this position is 1.0 and considered full-time.

Salary and compensation is commensurate with education, experience, and achievements. The salary is subject to availability of funds.
