Job summary

Oklahoma State University Institute of Technology - Okmulgee is seeking an instructor to facilitate learning for an associate in applied science Ford ASSET program within the School of Transportation & Heavy Equipment.

The role requires an associate degree or technical certification in Ford ASSET or automotive fields (bachelor’s preferred); five years of industry experience; ASE Master and Ford STST certifications; and a valid Oklahoma driver’s license.

Appointment Length: Regular Continuous/Until Further Notice

Hiring Range: $55,000 - $58,000

Commensurate with education and experience

About This Position

GENERAL SUMMARY:

This position will facilitate learning for an associate in applied science degree in the Ford ASSET Program within the School of Transportation & Heavy Equipment.

Education

Required Qualifications

• Associate degree or technical certification in Ford ASSET, Automotive Service Technology, Automotive Service Management, or a related field required; bachelor’s degree preferred.
• Other combinations of education and industry experience may be substituted for degree requirement.

Experience

• Evidence of a history of demonstrating ethical and professional behavior.
• A minimum of five years of industry experience in automotive technology; five years preferred.
• Demonstrated technical competency across both automotive and heavy equipment disciplines.
• Teaching, training, or instructional support experience preferred.
• Demonstrated success in collaborating with various constituencies.

Additional post-secondary education beyond requirements may substitute for years of required experience.

Licensure/Certification

Certifications, Registrations, and/or Licenses:

• Valid Oklahoma driver’s license.
• A.S.E. Master certified.
• Ford STST certifications.
