Job summary

Kaplan, Inc. through PPI is seeking part-time instructors to teach live online prep courses for the FE and/or PE engineering licensing exams.

Instructors will act as subject matter experts and student advocates, delivering accurate content and mentoring students as they study for the NCEES exams. This role emphasizes flexible scheduling, strong communication, and reliable technology for successful online sessions.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of related experience.
  • Licensed PE through NCEES (active and unencumbered).
  • Ability to effectively utilize online classroom technology.
  • Dynamic speaking ability.

Responsibilities

  • Demonstrate excellent teaching skills and engage students with mentoring.
  • Serve as an industry and exam expert in FE/PE topics.
  • Host classes per schedule; prepare in advance for accuracy.

Job Title

Instructor, FE & PE Engineering Exam Prep (PPI)

PPI, a leader in licensure exam prep and a Kaplan Company, is seeking part-time instructors to teach live online prep courses for the FE and/or PE engineering licensing exams.

This position offers an exciting opportunity to impact future generations of engineers by serving as subject matter experts and student advocates as they study for their NCEES exam.

Key Responsibilities
  • Demonstrate excellent teaching skills and ability to engage students in the classroom while providing a strong focus on mentoring and driving student success.
  • Serve as an industry and exam expert in areas of study.
  • Confidently host classes in accordance with the established schedule and curriculum; prepared in advance to ensure technical accuracy.
  • Adequaltely prepare for course sessions and submit errors, revisions, or improvements to the course slides or materials at least once per week throughout the Program duration.
  • Ensure all live webinar technical requirements are met. This includes, but is not limited to, logging in early to live sessions, ensuring the recording starts/stops, meeting minimal software/hardware/internet requirements, and delivering sessions in a quiet environment.
Minimum Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in related field OR 8 years of related experience
  • Licensed PE through NCEES (active and unencumbered)
  • Ability to effectively utilize online classroom technology
  • Dynamic speaking ability
Preferred Qualifications
  • Bachelor's Degree
  • Prior teaching or mentoring experience.
  • Previous employment in the industry with detailed knowledge of licensing exam content and preparation
