Fox Valley Technical College in Appleton is seeking an Early Childhood Education instructor to deliver instruction, facilitate student learning, and continually develop curriculum to meet student and employer needs. The position combines hybrid, in-person, and online course delivery to support diverse learners.

This position is responsible for the delivery of instruction, facilitation of student learning, and the on-going development of curriculum and learning strategies that meet the needs of students and employers.
Job Description Essential Functions and Responsibilities The following duties are primarily performed and are essential for this position. Employees are expected to be able to perform each of these job duties satisfactorily and successfully to be qualified for the position. Other duties may be required and assigned.
Education and/or Experience Requirements: Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education or in a related and appropriate field; Master’s Degree preferred, OR Possess a degree at the level in which they are teaching AND additional experience beyond what is required AND a plan to obtain bachelor’s degree (with approval by the Vice President - Learning and Chief Academic Officer.) AND Minimum of two (2) years full-time (or 4,000 total hours if part-time) of occupational experience in a target job for the program or programs being taught. One year (or 2,000 hours) shall be within five (5) years prior to the date of appointment. One year (or 2,000 hours) may be waived for occupational instructors with at least two (2) years of post-secondary teaching experience in the appropriate occupational field within five (5) years prior to the date of appointment. In evaluating candidates for this position, Fox Valley Technical College may consider an exception to the education and experience requirements in the event of emergency staffing situations, pending credentials, specialized expertise or renowned qualifications of candidate, emerging fields, or lack of candidate availability. Exceptions must be approved by the Vice President of Learning/Chief Academic Officer.
Satisfactory background check and fingerprint-based criminal background check as required by the Wisconsin Administrative Code for Child Care Center Licensing. Valid Driver's License. Subject to FVTC's Motor Vehicle Records Check. Proficiency utilizing learning management system. Strong verbal communication skills. Adapt quickly to changing demands, assignments, and circumstances to meet student needs. Communicate effectively and professionally with various audiences. Engage in continuous improvement in the quality of instruction by embracing innovative methodologies, techniques, and delivery methods.
Work will be completed in a hybrid environment, both in person and virtually. Work environment may change based upon college needs.

Starting Range: $73,900 - $86,900 per year. Pay is based on a multitude of factors, including experience, qualifications, education, relevant certifications, internal equity, and market data. Note: Internal applicants' wage will be based upon the applicable compensation guidelines.
