MVCC is seeking to fill two full-time, ten-month Instructor positions in our School of Health Sciences to teach in a Commission on Dental Accreditation (CODA) accreditedAssociate degree dental hygiene program. The position(s) include a commitment to a teaching assignment in theSummer of 2027.

Full-time faculty members teachcontracted classes in accordance with established policies and guidelines. Teachingresponsibilities include lecture, lab, and clinical assignments on the Rome campus.Courses may be taught in a traditional classroom and online formats. Other specificassignments will be made based on the individual's academic qualifications andprogram needs. In addition to teaching, full-time instructors participate inprogram assessment, curriculum development, student advisement, facilitatingstudent experiences, recruiting for the program and serve on variousSchool and College Committees.

Summer 2027 Requirement: Faculty hired for theJanuary 2027 launch of the Dental Hygiene Program will be required to performSummer 2027 overload assignments as reasonably necessary to offer the springsemester curriculum to the inaugural cohort. Summer 2027 overload assignmentswill be compensated in accordance with the overload provisions of theProfessional Association Collective Bargaining Agreement. This requirementapplies to Summer 2027 only.
