Piedmont Community College (NC) seeks an experienced nursing instructor for evening and weekend cohorts. You will teach theory, lead labs, and supervise clinicals, ensuring student readiness for licensure and practice.
You will assist in advising, evaluation, and program assessment to uphold nursing education standards. The role requires a Master’s degree in Nursing, two years of bedside nursing, and an active RN license with BLS.
The purpose of this position is to teach nursing courses to first and second-year nursing students in the evening/weekend nursing cohort for Piedmont Community College. instruct in theory, lab, and clinical courses; set up and monitor lab; supervise clinicals; assist in academic advising and program evaluation.
Completion of a master’s degree in Nursing and 9 semester hours or 45 continuing education hours in Nursing Education courses to meet NCBON Education rules, and two (2) years full-time bedside nursing experience.
Valid State driver's license, Nursing License, and Healthcare Provider Basic Life Support Certification.
This job requires continuously talking or hearing, frequently standing, frequently walking, frequently reaching with hands and arms, frequently gripping, or feeling with hands, typing/repetitive movement, occasionally climbing or balancing, occasionally stooping, kneeling, crouching, or crawling, occasionally sitting. Occasionally required to lift up to 25 pounds.
Work primarily, but not exclusively, in a climate-controlled classroom/clinical environment with minimal safety/health hazard potential or work hazards; however, there are sometimes stressful conditions.
