AACC is a fully accredited, public two-year college offering degrees, certificates, and transfer pathways. This tenure-track position requires regular on-campus presence, with flexible teaching schedules available.
Contract Dates: August 16, 2026 – June 15, 2027. Teaching Formats: Day, evening, weekend, in person, hybrid, and online.
The position in nursing is in the following specialty areas: Mental Health or Medical Surgical Nursing. A strong nurse candidate should demonstrate a proven ability to teach introductory and upper college-level nursing students who are part of a diverse student population. Bi‑lingual candidates are especially encouraged to apply. Experience in nursing guidelines for quality assurance, regulations, and proficiency testing, is required. Additionally, nursing skills, and the ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment as well as excellence in oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills are expected and bi‑lingual candidates are preferred. The position will require in‑state travel to affiliate clinical sites. Candidates should be committed to student‑centered, outcomes‑based education with experience incorporating multiple instructional strategies and the use of technology in teaching and learning. Teaching assignments are 15 faculty load hours per semester. Courses to be instructed include lectures (including online), lab, simulation, and activity classes in the Nursing program. Full‑time faculty are expected to participate on committees in the department, school of health sciences, and the college. Additionally, candidates should be proven team‑players with an ongoing commitment to personal and professional development as well as the ability to work effectively with a diverse faculty, staff, and student body. Pay dates occur on the 7th and 22nd of each month. If those dates fall on a weekend, the pay date occurs on the Friday prior to the 7th and 22nd. As an employee of the college, you are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package.
