Job summary

Erie 1 BOCES Workforce Development Center and Clinical Locations in Cheektowaga and Amherst, NY, seek a Literacy Instructor to provide GED or ESL instruction to adult students. The role involves leading classes in Language Arts, Math, Science, and Social Studies to prepare students to earn the GED credential, or English lessons to improve communication.

The position is part-time (2 days/6-8 hours per week) with day and evening hours available, and you choose your schedule.

Qualifications

• New York State Teaching Certification (K-12) is required by the ad.
• Bachelor’s Degree preferred as part of the candidate profile.
• Teaching experience preferred for classroom instruction.
• Experience working with diverse populations is preferred.
