Babson College is seeking an Instructional Technology Student Assistant to support blended and online delivery for Evening MBA courses at the Wellesley campus. The role involves setting up Webex, assisting with Canvas, and coordinating a Webex Flex course under a faculty member’s guidance.

The ideal candidate is detail-oriented, tech-savvy, and capable of working with minimal supervision, especially during evening hours 6:00pm–9:30pm, Monday through Thursday.

Responsibilities

• Meet with assigned faculty member before the semester to review expectations.
• Attend all training sessions; Webex and Canvas.
• Become “certified” by Babson IT in Webex.
• Work closely with the faculty member throughout the semester.
• Set-up, manage, and assist with Webex for each class session in accordance with the faculty member.
• Monitor Webex and support online students and faculty member during each class session.
• Review and become familiar with the course content.
• Assist with Canvas as requested by the faculty member.
• Provide support for faculty member throughout the semester on other technologies as needed.
• Communicate with students throughout the semester as assigned by the faculty member.
• Review and follow the “Conduct Standards” in and outside of the classroom.
• Work nights and weekends as needed.

Title: Instructional Technology Student Assistant

Pay Rate: $20.00 per hour
Location: Babson Wellesley Campus

The Instructional Technology Assistant (ITA) will work directly with an assigned faculty member and support the blended and online delivery process throughout the semester. This role includes assisting with technologies such as Webex, Canvas, and Classroom Technologies. The ITA will also be responsible for coordinating and assisting the faculty member with a Webex Flex course, a course that uses Webex in a traditional classroom setting and allows students in the course to join via Webex from their homes, offices or by coming to campus and participating in a standard face-to-face fashion. The majority of these courses are part of the Evening MBA that run Monday - Thursday from about 6:00pm to 9:30pm.
