Job summary

Bestica is seeking an instructional designer to develop multimedia training content in collaboration with SMEs and production teams. You will recommend platforms and tools to satisfy training requirements and manage courseware throughout the ADDIE lifecycle.

The role emphasizes evaluating feedback, updating training materials, and ensuring content meets objectives, with a strong focus on instructional design best practices and educational technology proficiency.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s in Educational Technology or related; 5 years ISD experience.
  • Experience in at least two areas: learning theory, instructional design, assessment or product creation.
  • Proficiency with current educational technologies such as Captivate, SCORM, VR, 3D modeling, simulation.
  • Strong organizational, independent work and interpersonal skills; NDA in place.

Responsibilities

  • Create multimedia training content with SMEs and production team.
  • Recommend platforms, tools, and methods to meet training goals.
  • Add, manage and test online courseware and produce training reports.
  • Develop training plans and validate ISD phases for course objectives.
  • Edit curriculum for grammar, spelling, and formatting; maintain records.
  • Support related activities including office continuity and e-learning tasks.
  • Apply ADDIE model to instructional design projects.
  • Design training materials: copy, text, audio scripts, video scripts.
  • Utilize government tools as needed for projects.
  • Attend meetings and support duties per Technical Advisor.
  • Analyze feedback and provide recommendations to improve courses.
  • Clarify project requests, coordinate scope meetings, obtain approvals.
  • Consult and validate educational content throughout development.

Responsibilities
  • Provide educational expertise in the creation of multimedia, graphics, or media projects in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Project/Production Manager, and Production Team.
  • Recommend instructional platforms, media, development tools, and delivery methods to satisfy training requirements for assigned programs or classes.
  • Add, manage, and test online courseware; produce comprehensive reports and recommend training improvements.
  • Create training plans and provide guidance in the validation phase of the ISD process to ensure effectiveness in meeting course objectives and proficiency levels.
  • Correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and formatting to accurately prepare, review, and edit written curriculum; maintain and update files and records.
  • Support educationally related activities as required, including office continuity design and assisting departments with online/e‑learning tasks.
  • Apply ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) Instructional System Design model.
  • Design training materials, including copy, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
  • Use additional software tools provided by the government as needed.
  • Attend all meetings as requested and assist in all duties specified by the Technical Advisor.
  • Analyze student feedback from end‑of‑course evaluations and field surveys; provide written recommendations to the EDED Branch Chief or USAFSAM Branch Chief for improvement.
  • Receive and clarify project requests from customers; coordinate project scope meetings, storyboard projects, determine content reviews, and obtain final approvals for course delivery.
  • Consult and validate educational content and delivery throughout all phases of USAFSAM multimedia development ensuring products are educationally sound.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or five (5) years applied experience in Instructional Systems Design techniques and related disciplines.
  • Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas:
    • Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology.
    • Instructional design practices.
    • Educational assessment.
    • Instructional product creation.
  • Proficiency in current educational technologies (e.g., Adobe Captivate, SCORM packaging, gaming, 3D modeling, virtual reality, simulation).
  • Organizational skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, Acrobat) and general filing, communication, typing skills.
  • Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and effective written and verbal communication.
  • Non‑Disclosure Agreement in place with company; copy of NDA provided to Program Manager.
Highly Desired Qualifications
  • Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or related discipline.
