Responsibilities
- Provide educational expertise in the creation of multimedia, graphics, or media projects in collaboration with Subject Matter Experts (SME), Project/Production Manager, and Production Team.
- Recommend instructional platforms, media, development tools, and delivery methods to satisfy training requirements for assigned programs or classes.
- Add, manage, and test online courseware; produce comprehensive reports and recommend training improvements.
- Create training plans and provide guidance in the validation phase of the ISD process to ensure effectiveness in meeting course objectives and proficiency levels.
- Correct grammar, spelling, syntax, and formatting to accurately prepare, review, and edit written curriculum; maintain and update files and records.
- Support educationally related activities as required, including office continuity design and assisting departments with online/e‑learning tasks.
- Apply ADDIE (Analyze, Design, Develop, Implement, Evaluate) Instructional System Design model.
- Design training materials, including copy, instructional text, audio scripts, and video scripts.
- Use additional software tools provided by the government as needed.
- Attend all meetings as requested and assist in all duties specified by the Technical Advisor.
- Analyze student feedback from end‑of‑course evaluations and field surveys; provide written recommendations to the EDED Branch Chief or USAFSAM Branch Chief for improvement.
- Receive and clarify project requests from customers; coordinate project scope meetings, storyboard projects, determine content reviews, and obtain final approvals for course delivery.
- Consult and validate educational content and delivery throughout all phases of USAFSAM multimedia development ensuring products are educationally sound.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or five (5) years applied experience in Instructional Systems Design techniques and related disciplines.
- Demonstrated experience in at least two of the following areas:
- Learning theory, psychology of learning, educational psychology.
- Instructional design practices.
- Educational assessment.
- Instructional product creation.
- Proficiency in current educational technologies (e.g., Adobe Captivate, SCORM packaging, gaming, 3D modeling, virtual reality, simulation).
- Organizational skills, ability to work independently, strong interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams, Zoom, Acrobat) and general filing, communication, typing skills.
- Critical thinking, problem‑solving, and effective written and verbal communication.
- Non‑Disclosure Agreement in place with company; copy of NDA provided to Program Manager.
Highly Desired Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Educational Technology, Instructional Design, Educational Design, or related discipline.
