Job summary

Devereux Advanced Behavioral Health's Mapleton School in Malvern, PA is seeking an Instructional Support Specialist to assist teachers by supporting academic, social and behavioral needs of students with special needs, and by helping implement basic educational programming with one-on-one tutoring when required.

Being a Instructional Support Specialist at Devereux has its Advantages

You will work with other dedicated professionals who share your passion for helping individuals in need. This position will support teacher's direction by providing assistance with academic, social, and behavioral needs of assigned clients. You will assist in the implementation of a basic educational programming and performing duties as directed by the building administrator or classroom teacher inclusive of individual tutoring or one-on-one support for a student with special needs.

Every day as an Instructional Support Specialist you will:

• Ensuring the health and safety of youth in the school
• Provide assistance with academic, social and behavioral needs.
• Support the teacher and administration's direction while supporting youth and reporting progress daily.

• Shift: Monday-Friday, 8am-4pm (52 week year round position)

The Mapleton School located in Malvern, PA offers education curriculum to children functioning at all grade levels. A multi-sensory educational strategy is used at all schools, employing traditional instruction, hands-on and independent learning, as well as technology, to individualize a student’s progress in all academic areas, particularly math and reading. The transition from school to career, and all of the necessary interrelated skills, is a main focus of the school program.
