Job summary

Hidaya Academy of Champaign-Urbana seeks a Vice Principal to partner with the Principal in leading instructional, curricular, and operational functions. The role focuses on instructional leadership, curriculum implementation, and staff development within an Islamic learning environment.

The successful candidate will supervise Curriculum Heads, mentor teachers, ensure alignment with the school's mission, and maintain a positive, structured atmosphere for students and families.

Qualifications

• Master's degree or higher in Education, Educational Leadership, or related field preferred.
• Minimum of three years of successful classroom teaching experience.
• Demonstrated instructional leadership and coaching experience preferred.
• Strong organizational, communication, and leadership skills.
• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board may deem appropriate.

Responsibilities

• Serve as the primary instructional leader under the direction of the Principal.
• Oversee schoolwide curriculum implementation and instructional consistency across all subjects, including Qur'an and Islamic Studies.
• Support and supervise Curriculum Heads in their leadership roles.
• Monitor curriculum pacing and progress, identify gaps, and recommend intervention or support plans.
• Collaborate with the Principal to ensure curriculum alignment with school mission, vision, and academic goals.
• Maintain and refine lesson plan templates to ensure clarity and alignment.
• Review lesson plans regularly with a focus on pedagogy and curriculum alignment.
