Job Summary

This role is responsible for coordinating, facilitating, andproviding online course development services and facultytraining.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities

Essential Performance Requirements*

• Coordinates, facilitates, and provides online course developmentservices and faculty training
• Coordinates online instructional design projects from inceptionto completion
• Provides instructional design and course development support toonline faculty
• Assists in developing online instructional strategies, coursematerials, and assessments in accordance with researched bestpractices
• Provides support for online faculty certification training
• Designs, develops, facilitates, and maintains training curriculumfor TCC Connect instructors
• Researches and recommends online learning technologysolutions
• Provides regular updates to department leadership regardingonline course development projects

Service Excellence

• Participates on behalf of the College in external communityorganizations and associations as assigned to support the essentialperformance requirements
• Attends the workplace regularly, reports to work punctually, andfollows a work schedule to keep up with the demands of theworksite
• Completes all required training and professional developmentsessions sponsored through Tarrant County College (TCC)
• Supports the mission, values, goals, and principles of theCollege

Supervision

Required Minimum Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• Two (2) years' working experience related to the EssentialPerformance Requirements, which must include secondary orpost‑secondary teaching experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Two (2) years’ working experience in online secondary orpost-secondary teaching
• At least one (1) year’s working experience with proprietarylearning technology solutions
• At least one (1) year’s working experience with learningmanagement systems
• At least one (1) year’s working experience teaching in ordesigning instructional content for STEM disciplines

Knowledge, Skills and Abilities

• Knowledge of web design and HTML
• Knowledge of research methodologies and techniques, and processesand standards for planning and implementing instructional designand development, instructional technology, and technology-based andnon-technology-based media and materials
• Knowledge of learning theory, instructional strategies,curriculum standards, and assessment design
• Skilled in excellent customer service and interpersonalrelationships, including strong listening, verbal, and writtencommunication
• Skilled in using computer applications and enterprise systems,including word processing, spreadsheet, and presentationsoftware
• Ability to work effectively in a collaborative environment
• Ability to analyze data and provide sound recommendations basedon policy, procedure, practice, and existing regulations
• Ability to perform and prioritize multiple tasks while ensuringaccurate and timely completion and exhibiting strong attention todetail and organization
