Applications submitted without a portfolio may not be considered.Position Responsibilities:Applies Instructional Design principles to assess learning needs and determine appropriate training deliverablesGathers information about learners such as preferred learning environment and existing knowledge and skillsAssesses the learning needs of staff in support of organizational strategy and identifies gapsPartners with subject matter experts to gather information and validate content accuracyProduces detailed design documentsDevelops training materials for in-person and virtual instructor-led trainings, job aids, instructional guides, mobile learning and e-learning contentCreates and manages work plans using established processes to meet committed time frames; may utilize learner tryouts and agile development (iterative design)Collaborates with Manager, Curriculum & Talent Development on enhancements to learning paths and associated curricula for all roles supportedMaintains relationships with business leaders, subject matter experts and field representatives and provides regular updates on project statusAssures accuracy of both hard copy and electronic copy materialsWorks on multiple projects concurrentlyCollaborates with rest of Talent Development & Education department to assess and update content materials on an annual maintenance cycleRequirements:Education & Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Instructional Design or similar field or equivalent work experience plus 3-5 years of instructional design experience in a corporate environment. This includes at least 2 years’ experience using authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline or RiseKnowledge of adult learning principlesExperience with ADDIE, SAM, or other rapid design methodologiesExperience designing learning in multiple modalities (ILT, virtual ILT, eLearning, job aids, etc.)Excellent communication skills (both written and verbal)Ability to prioritize tasks based on business needAbility to manage multiple projects simultaneouslyAttention to details in all aspects of the positionStrong editing skills and knowledge of grammar/punctuationExperience with Adobe Creative products and Vyond preferredMaster’s degree in Instructional Design, Adult Learning Theory or equivalent preferredPractical knowledge and experience of mobile learning design and development preferredPhysical Demands:Must be able to bend, squat, crouch and/or reach and lift up to 25 pounds or more, as required by the job.
