Job summary

Asbury University is seeking an Instructional Design Student Assistant in Kentucky. The role supports faculty using Zoom, Camtasia, and D2L Brightspace, and helps maintain the CTL internal site while creating multimedia content.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

• Support faculty using Zoom synchronous classroom software
• Support faculty using Camtasia Studio screen recording software
• Support faculty using D2L Brightspace (Discovery)
• Update and maintain CTL internal website
• Create and edit multimedia content (video, audio, graphics)
• Caption videos and transcribe audio
• Perform other tasks as assigned

Job Title: Instructional Design Student Assistant
Work Hours: Negotiable (between 8 AM – 5 PM M-F); Maximum 15 hours/week
Reports to: Instructional Design Staff

The right candidate will have the following characteristics:

• Interest in online learning and working with Asbury University instructors who will be teaching online
• Comfortable working in a team setting as well as independently
• Strong attention to detail and aesthetics
• Helpful attitude and willingness to perform a wide variety of tasks
• Dependable
• Organized – a good time manager

The right candidate will be proficient in the following skills:

• Digital photography, videography, and audio editing software
• Digital graphics design software – Adobe CC
• Website design and maintenance

The following tasks may be included in this position:

• Support of faculty using Zoom synchronous classroom software
• Support of faculty using Camtasia Studio screen recording software
• Support of faculty using D2L Brightspace (Discovery)
• Update and maintain CTL internal website
• Multimedia creation and editing
• Video captioning and audio transcription
• Other tasks as assigned

Additional requirements:

• GPA requirement of 2.75 or higher
• At least sophomore status preferred
