Job summary

Hibbett Instructional Designer role focused on developing engaging learning content across instructor-led, eLearning, and blended formats.

You will work with SMEs and cross-functional partners to design curriculum, author digital modules, and create job aids and facilitator guides while leveraging LMS analytics to drive continuous improvement.

Qualifications

  • 2-4 years of experience in instructional design, training development, or a related field.
  • Strong knowledge of instructional design theories, models, and frameworks and their practical application.
  • Experience designing and developing curriculum, including learning objectives, lesson planning, and assessment strategies.
  • Experience with eLearning authoring tools (e.g., Articulate 360) and multimedia development tools (e.g., Adobe Creative Cloud).
  • Familiarity with Learning Management Systems (LMS), including course publishing, learner tracking, and reporting.
  • Experience managing and organizing content within SharePoint or similar document management systems.
  • Strong visual design skills with the ability to create engaging, learner-centered content.
  • Ability to write clear, concise instructional copy, including scripts for audio, video, and interactive learning.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills, with experience working cross-functionally with stakeholders and SMEs.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with stakeholders to design and deliver impactful learning solutions.
  • Design and develop instructional materials, including digital learning experiences, job aids, facilitator guides, and multimedia assets.
  • Analyze learner needs, performance gaps, and business requirements to recommend training modalities and strategies.
  • Engage in curriculum planning, define learning objectives, structure content, and select delivery methods.
  • Research and implement emerging trends, tools, and technologies in instructional design.
  • Develop and implement assessments and measurement strategies to evaluate learner performance and training effectiveness.
  • Upload, organize, and maintain course content within LMS and SharePoint for version control and accessibility.
  • Track and measure learning outcomes using LMS reporting and analytics.
  • Execute learning projects from concept to completion, ensuring timelines and quality standards.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned. Travelling up to 10%.

Job description

Under general supervision, the Instructional Designer provides instructional and program design expertise for the development and support of learning content delivered in various modalities. Works closely in a collaborative environment to create engaging learning activities and compelling course content that enhances retention and transfer. Instrumental in assessing, implementing, and integrating instructional design concepts and learning technologies.

  • Collaborate with stakeholders, including business leaders, subject matter experts (SMEs), and cross-functional partners, to design and deliver impactful learning solutions.
  • Design and develop instructional materials, including digital learning experiences, job aids, facilitator guides, and multimedia assets (audio, video, simulations, and interactive modules).
  • Analyze learner needs, performance gaps, and business requirements to recommend appropriate training modalities and learning strategies.
  • Engage in curriculum planning, instructional design, and content development aligned to business goals and learner needs. Define learning objectives, structure content, and select appropriate delivery methods (e.g., instructor-led, eLearning, blended learning).
