Job summary

Maercker School District #60 in Illinois is seeking an Instructional Assistant to support the classroom teacher and help students achieve learning objectives. You will work with individual students or small groups to reinforce IEP goals, literacy, and the grade-level curriculum.

Description: To assist the classroom teacher in achieving learning objectives by working with individual students or groups of students to support learning programs in their designated educational environment. Instructional Assistants provide support with IEPs, literacy, and overall grade level curriculum.

Required License:

• Current TA, TASN, Paraprofessional License (ELS-PARA) from the DuPage Regional Office of Education in Wheaton, a Substitute License, or a Professional Educator License with an ELEM, or SCGE endorsement
• - Submission of all required materials via AppliTrack

Preferred:

• 1 to 2 years of experience.
• Experience working with elementarylevel students. Student teaching counts as experience.
• Experience working with students with special needs.
• Experience with use of technology to support educational programming.
