Job summary

CHRISTIAN COUNTY SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a paraeducator to assist the classroom teacher by providing instruction to individuals or small groups and by monitoring and reporting student progress. The position requires either two years of college or an Associate’s degree, or passing a state/local exam (Para Educator Exam at Hopkinsville Community College).

A clear criminal history background check and health screening are required.

Qualifications

• Must verify completion of at least two years of study (48 hours) at an institution of higher education or an Associate's degree.
• Or meet a rigorous standard of quality through a formal state or local academic assessment (Para Educator Exam given at Hopkinsville Community College).
• Must meet the requirements for a criminal record check as specified by Kentucky state law
• Must meet health requirements as specified in district personnel policy
