Lake Washington School District is seeking an Instructional Assistant for Tesla STEM High School. The role supports teaching staff, helps maintain an orderly classroom, and contributes to a positive learning environment. It may involve work in classrooms, testing rooms, lunchrooms, libraries, or after-school programs, serving individual students or whole classes.

The position follows an 183-day calendar with a 3.0-hour workday. Eligible for SEIU local 925 membership; 27.71 hourly rate.

Qualifications

• Must be at least eighteen years old and have a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have AA degree or two years of college credit (72 quarter hours) or approved assessment scores.
• Background check is required and official documentation will be requested upon hire.
• Finalists will be contacted for an interview.

May be assigned to an individual student or work with entire classroom.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENTS:

• Must be at least eighteen years of age and hold a high school diploma or its equivalent. Must hold an Associate degree (AA) or higher OR have completed two years of study equivalent to 72 college quarter credit hours, OR have passed an Educational Testing Service ParaPro Assessment documenting a score of 455 or higher, OR have passed the Pearson Paraprofessional Assessment with a score of 220 or higher. Official documentation will be required upon hire.
