Job summary

Universal Health Services (UHS) is seeking an energetic Instructional Assistant to support the ASD Program at Lifeworks School in Media, PA for the 2026-2027 academic year. A $2,000 sign-on bonus is available.

The Lifeworks Schools are licensed therapeutic day schools for students facing social, emotional, or behavioral health challenges and offer an individualized curriculum designed to engage students and achieve positive outcomes.

Qualifications

• Minimum 2 years related college coursework or Associate Degree.
• Experience working with adolescents with behavioral health challenges in a school setting is highly desirable.
• Ability to provide one-to-one and small group educational support.

Responsibilities

• Provide classroom management assistance to teacher when working with students on an individual basis as well as the entire class.
• Reinforce material already introduced by the teacher to the class.
• Provide educational assistance to students on a one to one basis.
• Completes tasks assigned by teacher pertaining to classroom environment, educational materials, and other operational functions in the classroom.

SUMMARY OF RESPONSIBILITIES:

1. Provide classroom management assistance to teacher when working with students on an individual basis as well as the entire class.
2. Reinforce material already introduced by the teacher to the class.
3. Provide educational assistance to students on a one to one basis.
4. Completes tasks assigned by teacher pertaining to classroom environment, educational materials, and other operational functions in the classroom, i.e. grading papers, researching materials, phone calls, point sheet tabulation, etc.
