Job summary

ACCEL Schools LLC is seeking an Instructional Aide for Case Preparatory Academy in Akron, OH. The role supports teachers, helps manage student behavior, and assists with daily activities inside and outside the classroom.

Responsibilities include aiding lesson delivery, supporting parent relations, chaperoning events, and handling routine clerical tasks while promoting a positive school climate and safety.

Qualifications

• Associate degree, two years of college coursework or Paraprofessional’s Exam.
• Proficiency in MS Office.
• Successful completion of BCI/FBI check.
• Ability to meet educational standards as applicable.
• Ability to work well under pressure and prioritize tasks.
• Understanding and ability to handle confidential information.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Physical ability to lift 25–40 lbs.
• Experience in a school or social services setting is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Supports lessons taught by the teacher to individuals or groups and follows instructional plans.
• Assists with planning classroom activities and supports teacher in student and parent relations.
• Participates in school activities and events (parent nights, assemblies, field trips, etc.).
• Performs clerical duties such as grading and copying.
• Assists with classroom technology usage.
• Helps maintain classroom and school areas’ cleanliness.
• Adheres to the school’s philosophy and policies.
• Performs other duties as assigned.
