Job summary

O'Reilly Auto Parts in Town of Cicero, NY is seeking an Installer Service Specialist with a strong mechanical background to support professional customers at the installer counter. The role oversees daily activity of the delivery specialist to ensure accurate and timely order deliveries.

You'll develop sales relationships with installers, take orders by phone and online, coordinate parts pickup and delivery, maintain delivery vehicles, and assist on the front and back counters as needed.

Responsibilities

• Develop sales relationships with installers/professional customers.
• Take orders by phone and online, invoice orders, direct parts to delivery, and route delivery staff to ensure timely delivery.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are serviced and maintained according to company standards.
• Ensure daily vehicle inspections are completed and mileages logged in fleet devices.
• Work with Sales Specialists and Territory Managers to provide superior service to professional customers.
• Assist on front and retail counters as needed and support backroom duties as needed.

Compensation Pay Range

$16.00 - $22.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Installer Service Specialist is an experienced and technical parts specialist who services the needs of professional customers through the store’s installer counter. This position will oversee and direct the daily activity of the delivery specialist to ensure customers receive accurate and timely order deliveries.

Essential Job Functions

• Work with installers/professional customers to develop sales relationships.
• Quickly and accurately takes customer orders over the phone and online, invoice customer orders, direct efforts to accurately pick and stage parts for delivery, and route delivery specialists to ensure customers receive their orders in a consistent and timely manner.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are serviced and maintained according to company standards.
• Ensure that all vehicle inspections are completed on time, accurate and daily mileages are entered into the delivery fleet management devices.
• Works with Sales Specialists/Territory Sales Managers to provide superior service to professional customers.
• Verify all product/merchandise, including warranty parts and cores, are billed before customers leave the store.
• Ensures customers’ new core and warranty returns are picked up and credited in a timely manner.
• Audit customer returns for warranty abuse and makes sure all returns are tagged/labeled correctly.
• Assist on front counter as needed and, on the retail counter as needed.
• Help with backroom duties, i.e., auto-load, returns, stock, etc., as needed.
• Assist with customer labor claims, making sure they are processed quickly and efficiently.
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required:

• Strong background in mechanics.
• Above average communication skills.

Desired

• Hands-on knowledge of automotive repairs.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
