Responsibilities

• Develop sales relationships with installers/professional customers.
• Take orders over phone and online; invoice orders; direct delivery routing.
• Route delivery specialists to ensure timely orders.
• Ensure delivery vehicles are serviced per company standards.
• Complete vehicle inspections; record daily mileages.
• Collaborate with Sales Specialists/Territory Sales Managers for service quality.
• Verify all product/mar merchandise is billed before checkout.
• Handle returns and credits for cores in a timely manner.
• Assist on front and back counters as needed; assist with backroom duties.
• Support processing of customer labor claims and related tasks.

Compensation Pay Range

$15.00 - $22.00

The actual hourly rate will equal or exceed the required minimum wage applicable to the job location. Additional compensation includes annual, quarterly performance, or premiums may be paid in amounts ranging per hour in specific circumstances. Premiums may be based on schedule, facility, season, or specific work performed. Multiple premiums may apply if applicable criteria are met.

The Installer Service Specialist is an experienced and technical parts specialist who services the needs of professional customers through the store’s installer counter. This position will oversee and direct the daily activity of the delivery specialist to ensure customers receive accurate and timely order deliveries.

Essential Job Functions

• Work with installers/professional customers to develop sales relationships.
• Quickly and accurately takes customer orders over the phone and online, invoices customer orders, directs efforts to accurately pick and stage parts for delivery, and routes delivery specialists to ensure customers receive their orders in a consistent and timely manner.
• Ensures delivery vehicles are serviced and maintained according to company standards.
• Ensures that all vehicle inspections are completed on time, accurate and daily mileages are entered into the delivery fleet management devices.
• Works with Sales Specialists/Territory Sales Managers to provide superior service to professional customers.
• Verifies all product/merchandise, including warranty parts and cores, are billed before customers leave the store.
• Ensures customers’ new core and warranty returns are picked up and credited in a timely manner.
• Audits customer returns for warranty abuse and makes sure all returns are tagged/labeled correctly.
• Assists on front counter as needed and, on the retail counter as needed.
• Helps with backroom duties, i.e., auto-load, returns, stock, etc., as needed.
• Assists with customer labor claims, making sure they are processed quickly and efficiently.
• All other duties as assigned.

Skills/Education/Knowledge/Experience/Abilities

Required:

• Strong background in mechanics.
• Above average communication skills.

Desired:

• Hands-on knowledge of automotive repairs.
• ASE Certification.
• Fluency in multiple languages (Spanish is highly desired).
