Job summary

Stanton Millworks in the Tri-state area is seeking a Builder for trim and cabinet installation. You will read plans, measure and fit trim, cabinetry, doors, and fixtures to create finished spaces that meet our quality standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 2 years of trim work and cabinet installation or carpentry.
• Proficiency with hand and power tools, including miter saws, table saws, drills, and nail guns.
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and architectural drawings.
• Strong knowledge of wood types, finishes, and hardware used in trim and cabinetry.
• Experience measuring, cutting, and installing trim and moldings.
• Familiarity with building codes and safety standards related to trim and cabinet installation.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment and craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and sketches to determine specifications and installation requirements.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Install baseboards, molding, wood paneling, cabinets, window frames, doors, and other fixtures according to plans and specifications.
• Align, position, level, and secure installations for a precise, finished result.
• Safely and proficiently operate hand and power tools, including drills, chisels, sanders, saws, and nail guns.
• Inspect materials and completed work to confirm quality and adherence to building codes and company standards.
• Coordinate with other construction professionals, including electricians and plumbers, to ensure spaces are ready for installation.
• Provide custom fabrication when prefabricated components do not fit or are unavailable.
• Troubleshoot and repair issues with existing trim and cabinetry.
• Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety protocols and removing debris and leftover materials.
• Communicate with clients to understand needs and provide updates on progress and timelines.

• Ability to perform precise calculations and adjustments for a seamless finish.
• Excellent attention to detail and commitment to craftsmanship.
• Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment, including adherence to OSHA regulations.
