Job summary

Service Experts LLC is seeking an Installer Helper I to assist installation teams in residential and light commercial HVAC projects. The role involves helping with equipment, ductwork, and ensuring safety and quality while in customer homes. Training and supervision are provided.

The ideal candidate has a high school diploma or GED, basic HVAC knowledge, EPA/safety certifications, and strong communication and reliability. Local travel and physical work are expected.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or GED with HVAC basics or certification preferred.
  • EPA and safety certifications preferred or required.
  • Ability to read wiring diagrams and operate HVAC equipment safely.

Responsibilities

  • Assist Installer/Lead Installer with installing HVAC equipment in homes or small business settings.
  • Help with ductwork, fittings, and access routes under supervision.
  • Maintain clean, organized job sites and proper use of company tools and vehicles.
  • Complete paperwork neatly and on time; communicate professionally with customers.

Work is performed under direct supervision.**Key Responsibilities:*** Works under direct supervision of the Installer or Lead Installer to install HVAC equipment and accessories in the customer’s home* Assists with the installation of heating, air conditioning, ventilation, and refrigeration equipment, as well as accessories, in accordance with company requirements and manufacturer specifications* Assists in the installation of ducts and duct fittings* Performs duties so as to deliver of excellent customer service and sustain high levels of customer satisfaction* Assists in the delivery and removal of equipment needed to complete the installation work* Assists the Installer or Lead Installer in ensuring company property, vehicles, and tools are being properly used, maintained, and properly accounted for* As needed or required, completes all paperwork in a neat, accurate, thorough, and timely manner* Represents the company professionally, honestly, and ethically in all business matters and concerns* Responsible with the Installer for keeping installation vehicle clean and neat both inside and outside in keeping with the company’s professional image* Performs similar/other duties as needed or assigned* Regular, reliable attendance**Desired Skills and Qualifications:*** High school diploma or GED with additional training and 0 to 2 years’ experience in HVAC with technical training certification preferred* Must possess all valid licensing or certification as required by federal, state, provincial, or local governmental laws or regulations for the geographical work area* EPA and safety certifications required* Basic knowledge of the fundamentals of the operational functionality of heating, air conditioning, and ventilation equipment as well as related accessories* Mechanical aptitude and the ability to operate, or learn to operate, all necessary tools and equipment* Basic skills in reading wiring diagrams* Effective communication skills to communicate with customer and to provide excellent customer service* Effective and efficient time-management and organizational skills* Valid driver’s license with acceptable driving record* Available to work flexible hours and on-call shifts as needed* Ability to stand and walk and to climb ladders and attic stairs and to maneuver in attics, basements, and crawl spaces to access HVAC units.
