MSS Fire and Security, LLC is seeking an Installer - Fire in Zebulon, GA. This role offers a path to grow your career while delivering top-notch fire protection and access control installations for our customers.

Responsibilities include installing and wiring fire alarm systems, reading plans, supporting technicians, troubleshooting, and maintaining high customer satisfaction. The role requires safety awareness, punctuality, and professional conduct in a collaborative team environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years installing/testing fire alarm systems or equivalent experience.
• Be able to present yourself professionally.
• Read/write and follow directions with basic hand tools.
• Knowledge of NEC & NFPA codes and regulations.
• Clear communication and reliability with time and uniform.
• Able to abide by safe work practices.

Role and Responsibilities

• Installation and wiring of fire alarm systems.
• Installation of access control equipment.
• Reading plans and drawings.
• Support other technicians with system point checks.
• Assist in the troubleshooting of installations.
• Maintain customer satisfaction for continual company growth.
• Other such duties and responsibilities as assigned by the Company from time to time.

Qualifications and Requirements

• 3 + years’ experience installing and/or testing, inspecting, and performing minor repairs on a variety of fire alarm systems or a combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential functions of the job.
• Be able to professionally present yourself.
• Must be able to work with various basic hand tools, follow directions, and be able to read and write.
• Knowledgeable of NEC & NFPA codes and regulations.
• Ability to communicate clearly and follow directions.
• Ability to show up on time, ready to work, and in uniform.
• Ability to abide by basic safe work practices.
• Physical Demands: Occasional sitting, frequent stooping, crouching, kneeling, balancing, and climbing. Constant standing, walking, reaching and gripping. Vision abilities required for this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Must be able to talk and hear. Occasional lifting up to 50 lbs. (maximum solo lift) and constant lifting to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC)
• Material Handling: Frequent lifting up to 50 lbs. and constant lifting up to 25 lbs., placing this position in the very heavy physical demand classification (PDC).
• Valid driver’s license and acceptable driving record required.
• Must successfully pass a background check & drug test.
• High School Diploma or Equivalent preferred.

Work Environment:

Exposure to weather, extreme heat or cold, high noise intensity level, atmospheric conditions, exposure to electrical shock, exposure to toxic or caustic chemicals, wet and/or humid, vibration, proximity to moving mechanical parts, working high exposure places.
