Job summary

Lumibuild, a commercial AV integrator headquartered in Emeryville, CA, is seeking an experienced and energetic AV Installer. This full-time role requires travel around the Bay Area to install and service AV systems.

The ideal candidate has 2+ years in AV installation, familiarity with Extron/Crestron DSPs, and the ability to read schematics. Must lift up to 50 lbs and be flexible to work overtime as needed.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of commercial AV installation experience.
• CTS certification is a plus.
• Familiarity with Extron, Crestron and various audio DSPs.
• Ability to read/interpret schematics and drawings.
• Work off of a ladder.
• Must be able to lift heavy objects up to 50 pounds and work in confined/varied conditions.
• Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
• Flexibility to travel or work overtime as necessary.

Responsibilities

• Mount projectors, motorized projector screens, displays, microphones, etc.
• Collaborate with General Contractors or independently.
• Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling.
• Wire/terminate low voltage cabling (Cat5, RG6, etc.).
• Safely use hand/power tools.
• Solder and crimp connectors when needed.
• Provide daily field updates and meet deadlines.
• Maintain organization and professional conduct on site.
• Develop a career in the commercial AV industry.

We are a young, fast-growing company and are looking for team members who are ambitious and want to grow with us! The roles are full-time and require travel around the Bay Area.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Mount projectors, motorized projector screens, displays, microphones, etc in various places and surfaces (walls, ceilings, metal, concrete, etc)
• Work as part of a crew or independently with General Contractors
• Proficiency with construction techniques and structured cabling
• Able to wire/terminate low voltage, audio, and video cabling (Cat5, RG6, etc)
• Ability to safely use hand/power tools
• Ability to solder and crimp connectors
• Commitment to work within specified deadlines and provide daily field updates
• Excellent organizational skills and the desire to work for a professional and fun company
• The ideal candidate is someone who takes pride in their work and wants to develop a career in the commercial AV industry
