Job summary

ProSlide Technology Inc. is seeking installers to be deployed to customer sites to manage and complete our water ride installations. Deployments last 8–12 weeks and involve hands-on assembly of fiberglass, steel and wood components, with an emphasis on safety and quality.

You will preassemble and erect ride structures, connect conveyors, weld attachments, and perform touch-ups and painting. The role requires travel, working in teams, and reading engineering instructions to build to spec.

Qualifications

• 2–5 years of hands-on construction experience.
• Ability to work with fiberglass, steel, and wood components.
• Willingness to travel internationally for 8–12 week deployments.
• Must hold a valid passport and driver’s license.
• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification.

Responsibilities

• Unload and position trucks on-site.
• Preassemble fiberglass flume sections following assembly manuals.
• Erect ride supports including steel columns and yokes.
• Connect and test conveyors and low-voltage systems.
• Perform safety inspections and maintain cleanliness of the site.
• Repair and touch up ride components as needed.

Job description

Installers will be deployed to customer sites to manage and complete our product installation process. Deployments will be up to 8-12 weeks in duration. The Installer is responsible for being the hands-on team member to pre-assembly, build and touch up water rides. You will be working with fiberglass, steel, wood and many other materials in this jack-of-all-trades role. Come learn a niche trade and expand your skill set!

YOUR CHALLENGE:

• On-site unloading and positioning of trucks
• Uncrating and preparing parts to be built.
• Preassemble and build all fiberglass flume sections by caulking and bolting parts together following an assembly manual
• Preassemble and erect all ride support sections including steel columns, radial arms and yokes on foundations and concrete piers.
• Connecting of steel yoke plates to radial arms/embedment plates by welding the connection
• Build the water ride tower in accordance of engineering drawings
• Painting of steel columns, towers and start platforms
• Build and connect conveyor systems when applicable; including installation of conveyor control panel, sensors and final termination of all low voltage connections at each devise
• Moving light equipment into position such as rigging, cribbing and scaffolding
• Problem solve any technical issues that work
• Repairing the water ride products from any quality defects or damages including fiberglass repairs, gel coat repairs, paint touch ups.
• Cleaning of the interior and exterior of the slide. Wash and wax the interior of the slide for public use.
• Participate in safety requirements, including training, safety talks, and equipment inspections
• Must follow all health and safety rules and regulations

WHAT YOU BRING TO THE ROLE:

• Must be able to be deployed 8-12 weeks out of country
• Must have a valid Passport
• Must have a valid OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 Certificate
• 2-5 year of experience in construction activities being hands on
• Experience working with hand and power tools
• Manlift and telehandler experience is an asset
• Experience with hoisting and rigging is an asset
• Willingness to work as part of a team
• Basic computer skills are required
• Must have a valid driver’s license
• No travel location restrictions

Working Conditions:

• 95% Travel
• On-site work
• This role is typically 60 hours a week, 6 days a week, in a hands-on trades role.
