Central States Industrial (CSI) is seeking an experienced Welder to join our Field Installation team based out of Grand Prairie, TX. You will perform TIG welding of sanitary stainless-steel tubing and process piping, read blueprints, and support installation crews at customer sites nationwide.

This hands-on role requires strict attention to safety, the ability to travel overnight and on weekends as needed, and a teamwork mindset.

Pay: $25 – $33 an hour

Location: Based out of Grand Prairie, TX

CSI is currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join our Field Installation team. In this role, you will work as part of a team installing sanitary process systems at customer locations throughout the country. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong TIG welding skills, attention to detail, mechanical ability, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

Welder – Field Installation

Pay: $25 – $33 an hour

Location: Based out of Grand Prairie, TX

CSI is currently recruiting for an experienced Welder to join our Field Installation team. In this role, you will work as part of a team installing sanitary process systems at customer locations throughout the country. This is a hands‑on position requiring strong TIG welding skills, attention to detail, mechanical ability, and a commitment to safety and customer service.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Perform TIG welding of sanitary stainless-steel tubing and process piping to meet customer and CSI quality requirements
• Perform grinding, polishing, and finishing of welded components
• Assist with pipe fitting and installation activities as needed
• Accurately read and interpret tape measurements, scales, blueprints, drawings, and schematics
• Operate forklifts, scissor lifts, torches, saws, drill motors, plasma torches, Fischer saws, and other equipment
• Follow established safety procedures and properly use required personal protective equipment
• Work effectively as part of a field installation team while maintaining a professional presence at customer facilities
• Travel to customer locations and work overnight and/or weekend assignments as required
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
• Take ownership of assigned work and complete installations according to specifications, quality standards, and customer expectations

Required Experience

• TIG welding experience — required
• 2–3 years of sanitary tube welding experience — required
• Pipe-fitting experience — required
• Experience operating basic construction equipment — required
• Forklift and scissor lift experience
• Experience operating drill motors, plasma torches, Fischer saws, and related equipment
• Experience working at customer facilities — preferred

Travel Requirements

Overnight and/or weekend travel is necessary and may, at times, be as much as 100%. Travel may be by air or company vehicle. A valid Class E driver’s license, or the ability to obtain one, is required.

CSI provides required tools, travel, hotel accommodations, meals, and other miscellaneous travel expenses associated with the position.

Work Environment / Physical Requirements

Field installation positions are very active and require frequent and/or continuous standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must frequently lift and/or move items weighing up to 75 pounds with assistance. Visual acuity is required to perform work using close, distance, and peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. The employee may be exposed to environmental factors typical of welding and field installation. Working outside or in non‑climate‑controlled environments may be required. The employee must be able to wear required personal protective equipment, including fall protection, safety glasses, steel‑toe shoes, and other PPE appropriate to the work being performed.
