Job summary

Securitas Technology Corporation in Jackson, MS is seeking an Installation Technician with strong electronics or electromechanical training to install and configure security systems at customer sites.

You will handle wiring, testing, and commissioning of intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control systems, coordinate with project teams, and maintain safety and cost guidelines. A valid driver's license and ability to lift up to 75 pounds are required.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5+ years installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire, access control, and CCTV security systems.
• 3 Video Certifications and 2 Access Control Certifications required.
• Experience working in Data Centers a plus.
• High School Diploma or equivalent required.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Run electrical wiring, including confined spaces and aerial work.
• Complete system wiring and equipment setup to meet requirements.
• Coordinate with Team Lead/PM on scheduling and equipment delivery.
• Test and troubleshoot new installations for functionality and code compliance.

Position Description:

We currently have an Installation Technician opening for team-oriented individuals possessing vocational training in electronics or electromechanical engineering. As an Installation Technician, you will be responsible for providing installation and configuration services on Securitas Technology products at customer sites. You will also handle special projects or tasks as they come up.

Responsibilities:

• Install and configure intrusion, fire, CCTV, and access control systems.
• Run electrical wiring in confined spaces, including drilling, trenching, and aerial work.
• Complete system wiring and equipment setup to meet customer and contract requirements.
• Coordinate with Team Lead or Project Manager on scheduling and equipment delivery.
• Test and troubleshoot new installations to ensure functionality and code compliance.
• Maintain a professional appearance and adhere to safety and cost guidelines.
• Foster positive customer relationships and support contract retention.
• Handle proprietary information and documentation per company policies.
• Stay current with product and technology updates through ongoing training

Requirements:

• MUST HOLD a minimum of 5+ years of experience installing and/or servicing intrusion, fire alarm, access control, and CCTV security systems.
• 3 Video Certifications and 2 Access Control Certifications
• Experience working in Data Centers a plus
• High School Diploma or equivalent
• Vocational/Technical Degree in electrical, security, or computer systems preferred
• Lenel, Pro-Watch, Software House, Picture Perfect certifications preferred
• Bosch, Honeywell, Radionics, or DMP system knowledge preferred
• IP Video and IT experience preferred
• Climb ladders that extend up to 24 ft. in height
• Carry items up to 75 pounds
• A valid state driver’s license, without restrictions, is required.
