Bayside Fire and Security, LLC is seeking an entry-level Fire Sprinkler System Installer Helper to assist experienced technicians in installing, repairing, and maintaining sprinkler systems across various buildings. This role emphasizes learning and growing skills in fire protection trades.

The candidate should be ready to lift heavy materials, read tape measures, and follow safety procedures while supporting foremen and supervisors on job sites.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Prior construction experience is a plus but not required.
• Ability to read a tape measure and perform basic math.
• Willingness to learn installation techniques and fire protection standards.
• Strong work ethic and reliability.
• Ability to lift 50+ lbs and work in various environments (heights, attics, crawl spaces, outdoors).
• Valid driver’s license and dependable transportation preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist installers/fitters with layout, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler piping.
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from the job site.
• Cut, thread, and install pipes under supervision.
• Help measure, drill, hang pipe supports, and prepare work areas.
• Load and unload materials and keep equipment organized.
• Support testing of systems for proper operation and code compliance.
• Follow safety policies to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate basic hand and power tools.
• Follow instructions from foremen, project managers and supervisors.
• Assist in reporting issues or hazards.

A fire sprinkler system installation technician helper assists foremen (experienced technicians) in installing, repairing, and maintaining fire sprinkler systems in commercial, residential, and industrial buildings. This entry-level role is ideal for individuals looking to build skills in fire protection and construction trades.

Core responsibilities:

• Assist installers/fitters with layout, assembly, and installation of fire sprinkler piping and related equipment.
• Carry tools, materials, and equipment to and from the job site.
• Cut, thread, and install pipes under supervision.
• Help with measuring, drilling, hanging pipe supports, and preparing work areas.
• Load and unload materials, ensuring equipment is properly organized.
• Support in testing systems for proper operation and compliance with local, state and federal codes.
• Follow all safety policies and procedures to maintain a clean and safe work environment.
• Operate basic hand and power tools (examples: drills, saws, pipe wrenches, etc.).
• Follow instructions from foremen, project managers and supervisors.
